Aukus polling shows partisan divide, low awareness

Twice as many New Zealanders support the Government’s exploratory talks on the Aukus security pact as oppose it, with a sharp divide along party lines according to new polling.
However, a large number of Kiwis remain unaware of the deal’s existence, in a sign that debate between politicians and academics may not yet be getting through to the wider public.
